Overview

Maintain financial stability by creating profitability models; preparing finance and accounting policies and procedures; studying capacity models; establishing financial objectives; preparing and updating rolling forecasts; preparing annual and three-year operating and capital budgets; monitoring investment performance; developing operating and financial metrics; managing staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company
  • Own and set the budget and budgeting process (annual and ongoing)
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reporting
  • Implement ongoing Risk and Opportunities (R&O) process (volume and spend)
  • Develop forecasting model to help improve accuracy
  • Ongoing margin reviews to support profit-driven incentive model profit and loss (P&L) management and development
  • Review all spend for accuracy, compliance, and opportunities
  • Create ad hoc reports, templates, and analyses for managers to evaluate their business
  • Ability to dive into reporting systems for detailed information
  • Assist in the smooth month-end closing process
  • Own the monthly and yearly spend reporting process
  • Manage, coordinate clear communication with SGWS sales management, state marketing, and state pricing, related to financial planning, reporting, and analysis

Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and build SGWS profit and loss (P&L) to achieve AOPs and forecasts
  • Partner with State Marketing/Pricing Directors and Sales management teams to ensure actual results adhere to budgets and price strategy for strategic suppliers
  • Lead a discussion with State Marketing Directors to drive margin improvement and conducts an ongoing assessment
  • Lead monthly Vendor Billing (Supplier) Aging process and ensure meeting the objectives given by SGWS leadership
  • Finalize monthly financial recaps
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s Degree and seven years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge analyzing business performance and developing financial plans within a distribution environment
  • Knowledge in Forecasting, Staffing, Financial Planning and Strategy, Strategic Planning, Financial Diagnosis, Quality Management

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
