POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinates the internal operations relating to inventory acquisition, transportation and maintenance of products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

1.Utilize the Apprise Inventory Control system and other software programs to create and analyze demand forecast based on historical depletions, market trends, seasonality, product mix, bias and other related factors.

2.Receives and coordinates purchasing assignments and requisitions for products from sales management.

3.Liaise with Regional Supply Chain and S&OP teams to prepare purchase orders for suppliers and product transfer requisitions.

4.Coordinates the transportation of products to the Division and between warehouse locations as needed.

5.Inspects and monitors existing inventory to determine salability; oversees disposition of merchandise that cannot be sold.

6.Conducts regular inventory counts as required; identifies concerns regarding aged inventory and raises to management.

7.Prepares, reviews and files all required documentation to conform to various government statutes.

8.Addresses various inquiries from suppliers, sales teams, supply chain, operations team and internal customers to facilitate communication and streamline purchasing procedures.

9.Manages and directs the work activities of the Purchasing Assistant.

10.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


·Five years’ experience in purchasing or statistical forecasting position


·Strong organizational, verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills


·Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions; understand interdependencies between sales, supply and operations


  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.


·Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite; proficient in the use of MS Excel


·Previous experience with software and a working understanding of




Preferred Qualifications:


·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or other related field


·Working knowledge of Order to Cash systems is a plus


·Understanding of products, categories and channels in the alcoholic beverage industry is a plus


·Minimal travel required
