Perform assigned accounting functions requiring the application of accounting principles and practices.
Perform clerical duties relating to inventory control, cost analysis and accounts payable.
Set up and maintain inventory costing information.
Research and resolve system vs. invoice pricing and quantity issues.
Maintain and update supplier information files.
Work with the sales force and GL staff in gross profit analysis and variance.
Work with staff accountants on monthly journal entries.
Work with various departments keeping them informed of cost and gross profit issues.
Complete special projects as assigned.
High School diploma/GED.
1-2 years of relevant office experience.
College course work in general accounting.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Willingness to partner among all team members within the department.
