Inventory Costing Coordinator

Description

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Verify and enter inventory costs into the company SAP computer software.

  • Link new items in SAP

  • Research and resolve SAP conditions vs. invoice pricing issues, and quantity differences.

  • Maintain and update supplier information files and SAP costing conditions.

  • Work with SGWS NY GL Team on monthly reconciliation of inventory cost related issues.

  • Analyze and clear if necessary the old G/R I/R accruals

  • Work with various departments keeping them informed of cost and gross profit issues.

  • Prepare and direct posting of Batch Adjustments and Floor Stock Adjustments.

  • Resolves internal and external customer issues by returning/acknowledging phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner, and providing responses and resolutions in a reasonable amount of time.

  • Calculate and file claims for shortages and spoilage. Monitor payments on these claims.

  • Supports internal and external audit activities, as required, to ensure that auditors are provided with the necessary information to complete their audits timely.

  • Perform similar job related duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in PC skills, particularly word processing and spreadsheet applications

  • Experience in Inventory Costing and/or General Accounting a plus

  • Basic knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles

  • College courses in Financial Accounting a plus

  • Knowledge and experience with SAP Financials a plus

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines

  • Team player, energetic, self starter, motivator

  • Critical nature of this job may require extended hours

  • Associate Degree.
