On-Premise Wine Sales Representative (Portland) Cru Artisan Brands

Description

Southern Glazer's Wine and Spiritsis seeking candidates for an exciting Sales Representative opportunity in Portland to join our On-Premise Wine Sales team!The On-Premise Sales Representative is responsible for Cru Artisan Brand product sales, customer service, and account development, along with other sales and service functions to promote consumer demand in on-premise accounts. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyze, plan, establish, and maintain an efficient and productive daily call pattern in assigned territory.
  • Analyze the total territory and each account to determine the priority selling and promotional opportunities.
  • Call on all accounts assigned with sales objectives established for maximum case volume, distribution, advertising, and placement of all products represented by the division.
  • Implement and maintain up-to-date accurate records of sales, competitive activity, and payment performance of all accounts in assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relations.
  • Participate in sales meetings with suppliers and management.
  • Prepare professional sales presentations for each call tailored to current supplier programs and the needs of the customer.
  • In-depth knowledge of the features and benefits of supplier products and programs compared to competition.
  • Install and maintain appropriate point-of-sale/printed materials within accounts that are clean and current.
  • Attend all scheduled functions related to divisional brands such as promotions, tastings, etc.
  • Submit weekly account, scheduled events, and account activity recaps.
  • Work with our supplier partners and call on accounts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1-3 years of sales and industry related experience within the distribution, hospitality, or supplier community.
  • Comprehensive understanding of wine to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service.
  • Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry 45+ pound case of product on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little to no supervision.
  • Strong written, verbal, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, andmeet deadlines.
