AWS - Account Executive

Description
  • Establish and maintain the best possible retail representation in assigned accounts. (inclusive from store personnel to corporate management)
  • Gain and maintain current/innovative brands by maximum type, size distribution and adjacencies.
  • Maximize company sales and market share for Supplier/SWS.
  • Maintain and on-going personal presence and call frequency with assigned accounts.
  • Develop monthly planner, weekly promotions, cold box and shelf management strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with the merchandising division to obtain displays through point of sale materials, planner execution and monthly priorities.
  • Deliver meaningful sales presentations in order to develop and increase assigned sales goals to assigned accounts, sales team and supplier chain quarterly meetings.
  • Complete monthly surveys of retail outlets, accounts and competing accounts to determine market development.
  • Provide reports and response from immediate supervisor and to Supplier.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records concerning assigned accounts.
  • Be aware of federal, State and local laws affecting the beverage/ alcohol industry within account responsibility.
  • Project a positive, professional image at all times.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED and at least 5 years’ experience serving customers in a similar sales industry.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)applications.
  • Independent discretion and judgment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail with a strong desire to deliver value-added support to external and internal clients.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
Preferred Characteristics/Credentials:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, strongly preferred
  • Wine/ Industry knowledge to include basic understanding of distribution, wine varietals and leading spirit categories.
