·Supervise a team of route sales professionals to include oversight of sales and merchandising efforts in accounts.
· Train, develop, and motivate team to foster the success of individual contributors and overall team success.
·Continuously evaluate account call frequencies; overall account list to ensure most efficient route to market strategy.
· Collaborate with District Manager to conduct sales meetings and product presentations for sales team.

·Provide consistent and regular communication to team through weekly meetings and brainstorm solutions to overcome obstacles encountered in the field.
· Strategize with District Manager to enhance contribution to division and company- wide sales strategies and goals.
·Align with supplier representatives to understand their brands, sales goals/projections, and support in securing additional market share through your team's effective selling approach.
· Understand the competition and remain apprised of market trends and development within specific categories, geographic regions, and accounts.
·Develop relationships with the trade while promoting supplier brands to consumers at food/wine/industry events.
· Work flexible hours which include early morning (i.e. 4:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. start times), evenings, and/or weekends. Overnight travel as required. Additional hours required during the peak season of October, November and December.
·Provides route coverage in the absence of a route sales rep; must be able to drive vehicle.
· Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned.
·Manage company warehouse /truck processes on a daily basis; inventory, warehouse, truck weight.
·2 to 5 years of professional sales experience preferably in the alcohol beverage industry, including a minimum of two years supervising/directing other individuals.
· Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service.
·Able to service accounts in the assigned geographical territory and meet last minute and urgent requests from customers, including emergency deliveries.
· Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
·Lift and carry a 50+ pound case of product frequently
· Proven ability in territory sales management including creative and fact-based selling.
·Goal oriented, focused, and aggressive individual who needs little direction or supervision.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
·Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis.
· Adaptable and able to assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types.
·Able to inspire, coach and lead a team by example.
·“Hands-on” management approach in an intense, fast-paced environment.
·Strong negotiation skills.
Professional attire to include dress or business casual slacks, blouse/shirt and a jacket; closed toed shoes with conservative heel appropriate for lifting, bending, stooping and ladder work as needed. All other dress code policies to be observed per the division’s employee handbook.

REASONING ABILITIES:Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Must be able to maintain requirements for operation on non-DOT vehicle as required by Southern Wine & Spirits for compliance on the road.High School Diploma/GED and 2 or more years of industry related sales experience within the distribution, hospitality or supplier community.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
OTHER:Since this position requires the individual to operate a vehicle weighing less than 26,000 GVW, this requires the individual to be able to bend, stoop and climb, in order to get in and out of a vehicle. In addition, rearranging product displays may require the individual to bend, stoop and lift various products that vary in weight up to 65 pounds. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate “after hours” accounts and weekends. Available for overnight travel. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Must be at least 21 years of age.
