POSITION SUMMARY:

The Master Data Analyst I is responsible for providing advanced level guidance to implement and manage master data processes and policies companywide. The position contributes to SGWS’s success by applying knowledge of Master Data Management processes, standards, governance, and tools to manage data critical to the functioning of SGWS’s fulfillment systems.

The primary responsibility is to assist in the maintenance of master data in the most efficient, accurate and effective manner for fulfillment operations and reporting, as well as the continuous improvement of processes to insure clean and efficient data management.

This position is the focal point for data maintenance and requires collaboration with stakeholders (internal and external) to support and ensure operational efficiency of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The MDM Analyst I will function as the primary point of contact related to the day-to-day execution of SCM MDM related tasks, such as educating, answering questions, resolving data issues, providing analysis, and maintaining master data

Manage and maintain master data across lines of business to support Supply Chain, Commercial and Operation goals and objectives

Perform master data additions, changes, and deletions in accordance to standard procedures and business rules for new and existing products

Ensure requests for master data maintenance are properly authorized and approved by working with appropriate data owners and/or management

Analyze data issues and determine best approach to address by instituting best practices and standardization of data input

Educate customers (internal/external) on master data processes and business rules

Maintain required audit-related documentation

Work proactively with business stakeholders to resolve discovered data issues

Generate and record ideas for improvement (e.g. integrity checks, maintenance processes, frequent time-consuming tasks)

Work with other IT teams to investigate data-related problems in up-stream applications

Translate, validate, and prioritize customer requests into actionable tasks, working with the customer to clarify and define requests

Deliver service in accordance with established service level agreements or negotiate service delivery if outside service level agreement

Escalate issues before they impact other programs or teams

Correct data flagged on data integrity reports/dashboards and research incorrect settings, recommending changes

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong MS Excel knowledge

Good understanding of order processing systems

Detailed oriented and well organized

Self-motivated and energetic

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral

Confident in interaction with all levels of employees and navigating organizations

Handle multiple concurrent tasks and learn new business systems quickly

Be highly collaborative, team-oriented and strong consensus builder

Able to make decisions and negotiate effectively

Think objectively and creatively, be open to change

Listen effectively

Garner respect within his / her organization

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience

Experience in Master Data, Operations, or Supply Planning experience

Strong analytical skills with very strong MS Excel knowledge (pivot tables, macros, lookups)

Software applications knowledge in JDA, SAP, SharePoint, and MS Office

Demonstrates competency in identifying data discrepancies and data anomalies

Effective communication, presentation and organization skills
