Senior Director, Talent Acquisition

The Sr Director Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading and driving an innovative talent acquisition strategy and roadmap at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS). They will partner with business leaders, our functional leaders and recruiting team to develop and execute on initiatives that drive successful recruiting outcomes and strengthen our employer brand including: optimizing recruiting strategy, scaling programs and processes, expanding the use of data/analytics and developing effective strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and direct an experienced, resourceful, proactive and solution-oriented recruiting department; providing guidance and development to the team to execute against objectives and adjust to shifting organizational priorities
  • Develop and execute best in class talent acquisition processes and procedures which include but are not limited to talent acquisition planning, employment branding, college recruitment, candidate relationship management, metrics and analytics, and strategic sourcing
  • Partner with senior business and HR leaders to understand the business strategy, challenges and develop recruiting efforts to align and/or help develop a robust diverse workforce plan
  • Partner with Corporate Communications and Culture/Engagement team on the development and evolution of our employer brand and our recruitment marketing footprint; ensuring our channels are optimized to drive qualified candidate leads
  • Work with key stakeholders to analyze business goals, identify talent needs/or gaps to develop across the organization, and implement programs to find the right talent against current and future workforce planning strategies
  • Manage a clear set of metrics, recruiting reports, and dashboards to analyze, forecast, track and communicate to the business and HRBPs, while using metrics to drive operational excellence across the team
  • Develop & implement an effective, engaging digital/social media plan to target, attract and recruit candidates
  • Create and drive diverse talent pipeline programs in partnership with the Talent Management and Diversity & Inclusion teams
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition budget including travel & expense, vendors, tools, and events
  • Stay on top of new trends in the industry and marketplace and maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends, related analytics, and labor laws that have short and long-term implications in our recruiting efforts
  • Drive executive-level recruiting on a national level, while taking on additional open requisitions on an as-needed basis
  • Play a key role in strategic headcount planning and management, working with senior business & HR leaders across the business and partnering closely with People Analytics, Compensation, and Finance
  • Drive programs and processes which ensure sourcing and recruiting strategies attract diverse candidates
  • Maintain talent pipelines with potential candidates and past applicants for future needs
  • Oversee and improve overall candidate experience
  • Identify, improve, and create programs to engage external partners as well as current and alumni employees as sources for Executive Vice President (EVP) advocacy and high-quality referrals
  • Manage vendor relationships with branding and other talent acquisition vendors to ensure delivery of quality services
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of experience managing exempt level employees
  • Proven consulting experience in working with executives and senior leaders
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking, talent acquisition, and recruitment technology tools integrated with core HR systems
  • Knowledge of best practices to attract and qualify candidates for immediate job vacancies or as potential long-term job candidates
  • Experience in a fast-paced growth-oriented business
  • Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can relate well to a variety of levels in the organization
  • Ability to Travel: up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Human Resource and workforce issues and trends to analyze workforce data, information, and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions
  • In-depth experience in SuccessFactors
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills
  • Interpersonal and presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain a high level of quality output
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and verbal/written communication skills
Physical Demands
  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
