Job Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst job is responsible for the overall quality of systems and technology that are released into ETP’s production environment. The scope of this role includes the comprehensive aspects of quality including testing documentation, planning and execution of testing, testing validation, and obtaining approval using both manual processes and automated tools that are available in the SGWS environment.  
In their role, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the product meets business requirements and overall business objectives by tracking and reporting quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status, as well as documenting problems and communicating the issue to development staff to assist in their resolution

Duties and Responsibilities
•    Providing coaching and development to Quality Assurance Analysts 
•    Leading and directing offshore testing programs 
•    Maintain a working knowledge of Quality Assurance leading practices and serve as a thought leader to the SGWS organization 
•    Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for SGWS quality assurance programs 
•    Facilitate Quality Assurance training and education programs for the SGWS team 
•    Recommend opportunities to lower testing costs or improve quality through alternative staffing models (e.g., gig, offshore, 3rd party) 
•    Provide coaching and development to Senior Quality Assurance Analysts 
•    Review 3rd party testing programs to ensure quality and compliance standards with SGWS practices 
•    Overseeing the work of 3rd party Quality Assurance teams 
•    Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for SGWS quality assurance programs 
•    Lead QA projects and teams, become an expert in SGWS technology stack, business processes and data exchanges to help ensure proper test coverage and data integrity across all integration points 
•    Understand various programming languages (ABAP, Java, C#, Perl, Python, etc.) and deployment tools such as Turnover, QGM/Solution Manager, as well as devOps and CI/CD practices 
•    Develop test strategies and approaches, test plans (including test conditions and expected results), test cases, and test scripts, both manual and automated 
•    Identify test data requirements and work with other teams as needed to create and maintain test data 
•    Execute tests, both manual and automated, including documentation of test results and defects, assist in defect troubleshooting and resolution 
•    Assist in the implementation and maintenance of software testing tools 
•    Create, run, and maintain reports to measure and track testing metrics 
•    Participate in test automation, including framework design, script development and maintenance 
•    Stay up-to-date on software application testing tools and QA best practices 
•    Deliver quality and testing process training to IT staff and project teams 
•    Perform quality and testing audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality and testing standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed properly and consistently 
•    Coach others, mentor peers to help them build capabilities 
•    Improve the efficiency of QA team, mitigate team conflicts and communication problems 
•    Motivate team members to work collaboratively and effectively 
•    Plan and document succession planning within scope of responsibility 
•    Report HP ALM QA metrics and testing status to project and application team members  
•    Support integration testing cycles through performing test scripts, coaching SAP super users and possible defect resolution


Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, information systems, business administration or other industry-related curricula) or combination of education and equivalent experience 
•    Four (4)+ years serving in a Quality Assurance role 
•    Can think strategically

Preferred Qualifications
•    Masters Degree 
•    Experience executing testing with large-scale platforms (SAP, JDA, etc.) 
•    Experience executing the regression and performance testing for packaged releases on a defined scheduled timeline, coordinating the scheduling and resources 
•    Experience with automated testing tools 
•    Experience working with testing teams that are located offshore 
•    Experience mentoring and developing QA people 
•    Experience evaluating and improving QA practices and processes 
•    Experience interacting and leading Business team members during a testing program 
•    Experience working with and directing third-party Quality Assurance teams
•    Experience working in Agile environment (SAFe Agile certification preferred), using DevOps and CD/CI methodology 

Specialized Skills and Technologies
•    Coordinating testing scenarios focused on ensuring the quality SAP development and support changes in an SAP landscape or similar integrated ERP platform 
•    Evaluate processes and technology solutions to outline the right level of testing to be created or executed to ensure a change will not impact the production environment upon release 
•    Running or managing a significant business-wide IT project or change 
•    Experience using UFT, Selenium, Appium, SoapUI, SAP TAO or similar tools 
•    Understand various programming languages (ABAP, Java, C#, Perl, Python, etc.)  and deployment tools such as QGM/Solution Manager, as well as devOps and CI/CD practice 

•    5+ years of experience in SAP SuccessFactors and 10+ years of overall experience in SAP HCM
•    SAP testing experience with SAP HR systems including SAP HCM, PA, OM, BN, TM, PY and SuccessFactors including analysis of requirements and design, translation of those to test requirements and test cases and execution of tests, reporting and mediation of defects and progress reporting
•    Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors with core skills in Employee Central and SAP HCM PA
•    Knowledge any of Onboarding, Recruiting, Compensation, Variable Pay modules in SF preferred
•    Experience delivering at least 2 end to end implementation in SuccessFactors, EC. 
•    Knowledge of SF-EC Payroll would be added advantage
•    Knowledge Setup Configuration within SuccessFactors
•    Good understanding of the solution and data structure in SuccessFactors
•    SAP Personnel Administration – PA  
    o    Testing of standard and custom configuration of SAP PA module 
    o    Ability to support Master Data Interfaces to/from external systems 
    o    SAP Standard and Custom PA report expertise 
•    SAP Payroll – PY 
    o    Testing of standard and custom configuration of SAP Payroll module including HRSP and TUBs  
    o    Ability to support PY Interfaces to/from SAP 
    o    Sap Standard and Custom PY report expertise 
•    SAP Kronos, BSI and SAP ESS - MSS 
    o    Ability to support KRONOS Interfaces 
    o    Testing of BSI TAX FACTORY 
    o    Tax Factory Maintenance and TUBS testing 
    o    BSI Standard and Custom report expertise
