Director, Commercial Strategy Effectiveness

Description
Works integrally with Regional and State Strategy, Commercial Operations and Sales leads, focusing on the management and execution of RTM redesigns and compensation deployments to enhance state performance, profitability and competitiveness. Helps drive implementation of commercial operations restructure and salesforce effectiveness to achieve state net profit targets. Helps coordinate with VP of Commercial Strategy Effectiveness on strategic direction and goals. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

Accountable for program management and execution on strategic optimization and performance improvement efforts, including but not limited to:

oSalesforce Optimization: Route-to-Market design, sales planning/execution, sales force size/coverage, org. structures, etc.
oCustomer/Account Modeling and Analysis: Account segmentation, channel strategy, cost-to-serve analytics, ROI, etc.
oPerformance Management and Efficiencies: Compensation/incentive design, development of KPIs, measurement, etc.
oBI/Analytics/SFA: Sales/marketing tools, reporting, execution tracking, KPIs, mobility, CRM, etc.

Coordinate with both Sales and Operations to seek opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
Coordinate with HR and Proof to optimize salesforce effectiveness through new digital platforms.
Serve as the point-of-contact with region and state strategy teams to coordinate and facilitate corporate and regional projects and provide post project evaluations and results tracking.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related area.
Ten or more years of relevant consulting, project management, analytical and/or commercial work experience is required with at least two to five years’ experience the Wine & Spirits/Beverage Industry.
Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel.
Able to organize priorities and work under deadlines while producing a high-quality result.
Demonstrated ability to inspire others while working as part of a team.
Strong analytical skills, able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics.
Must possess ability to take the initiative, pro-actively look for solutions, work and manage projects within tight deadlines, and communicate to project leadership any challenges/issues in a clear and timely fashion.
Must be comfortable interpreting and manipulating large amounts of data.
Must have sufficient self-confidence, poise and interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively as part of a team, to take part in professional discussions and to liaise with senior executives on a regular basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree.
Project Management certification.
Experience in reengineering revenue enhancement, cost containment and restricting projects.
Five or more years’ experience in the Wine & Spirits/Beverage Industry with cross-functional experience.
