Manager, Business Insights-Multicultural

Description
The SMBD Insights Manager will support the Multicultural Center of Excellence in developing marketing efforts for corporately managed suppliers to
positively impact sales execution and engagement across multicultural audiences. This requires excellent project management skills and the ability
to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
The individual will bring forth alcohol beverage category insights and serve as a multicultural marketing expert to analyze, apply and deliver consumer,
shopper and category insights to influence multicultural strategic plan development and support national program goals.
This role will serve as the subject matter expert on SGWS proprietary ethnic account segmentation tool – VISTA. They will lead internal training,
category/brand analysis and Vista 2.0 enhancements in collaboration with the Tableau COE, Transformation Team and Corporate Analytics.
Leading the collaboration, tool enhancements and training are key to this role.
The role works in alignment with the SMBD Business Intelligence and Corporate Commercial Analytics teams.
Minimum Qualifications (education and experience required):
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
5+ years in sales and/or marketing experience
Experience in developing strategic programs within the alcohol beverage category
Must have insight and experience in marketing to various multicultural targeted consumers
Activities/Accountabilities (what the role does):
Ability to operate and analyze proprietary and syndicated sales data and sources – i.e. Nielsen, Simmons, Spectra, HomeScan, Numerator, iDig, etc.
Identify and guide the continued application of VISTA data across SGWS internal tools – i.e. BOB, SalesNav
Support annual operating plan development with category and cultural insights as requested by MC CoE
Create monthly program performance updates to track and communicate level of value and impact of multicultural initiatives to relevant stakeholders
Reporting execution and program tracking, program measurement and evaluation, business insights, ad hoc reporting requests using business
intelligence tools and applications
Analyzes multicultural market trends, syndicated data and consumer research to build tangible multicultural sales promotional and commercial plans;
as well as package content for Top Shelf Insights SharePoint site
Research and problem-solving support: Conduct ad hoc and ongoing research using structured problem-solving/insights—for projects related to
strategic initiatives
Communication and presentation support: Design and develop PowerPoint decks and associated talking points to effectively communicate findings.
Leadership analytical support: Structure analyses needed to drive business decisions (including defining logic, business rules and assumptions).
Deliver analyses and insights employing a variety of and business intelligence tools to identify, extract and analyze data.
Strong communication skills to generate content – white papers for PR/external visibility
Interfaces (who the role works with – primary & secondary):
Primary: VP, Multicultural Center of Excellence, Senior Director, Supplier Insights
Secondary: Corporate Commercial Analytics, Supplier Insights Managers, Customer Development

Qualifications
Critical Capabilities (knowledge, skills required):
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.
Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in SAP Business Objects and excellent working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite with an
emphasis on Excel
Influence and persuasion: Able to present sound and well-reasoned POVs to convince others, and persuade people in a
way that results in agreement or behavior change.
Ability to design and leverage research results into actionable marketing and business building initiatives
Managing relationships and teamwork: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at
all levels in the organization, often in virtual teams spread across multiple time zones.
Flexibility: Able to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.
Moderate travel (25% of time by auto and air).
