Job Description

Develop and oversee the development and implementation of supplier strategies to drive profitable growth and performance across the SGWS footprint, 
while leading and directing supplier insights and analytics.   

Duties and Responsibilities

Supplier Management
•    Oversee the AS Suppliers business, Performance KPIs, targets and goals, overall growth and senior level relationships
•    Serve as a key point of contact for the Digital team within the Supplier Management organization to successfully embed digital capabilities across 
     the team including a strong understanding of SG Proof 
•    Oversee and lead the process and implementation of annual goals and priorities of all FW suppliers; collaborate closely with the Commercial Planning 
     team as well as the Regions and States to set and maintain expectations
•    Oversee the KPI platform for supplier and product rationalization
•    Oversee and guide the management and use of supplier marketing funds
•    Plan and understand the implications of Supplier programs, pricing, and promotions while managing deployment and tracking execution
•    Inventory oversight and monitoring across the department for assigned Suppliers
•    Primary Escalation point for AS Supplier A/R
•    Oversee the preparation and consolidation for top-to-top presentations, Supplier QBRs and scorecards

Supplier Strategy
•    Partner and collaborate with the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, the EVP SMBD, the VP Sales and Marketing, SVP Sales & Commercial Operations 
     Artisanal Spirits on enterprise-wide strategic supplier initiatives
•    Driving national consistency, process standardization and tool deployment across the corporately managed suppliers, in close coordination with 
     the Corporate Sales & Marketing team
•    Lead the AS Supplier in evaluating Supplier expansion and alignment opportunities and collaborating with Suppliers on strategic projects  
•    Lead input and guidance on supplier RFP responses and collaborate with the Office of Strategic Management on alignment expansion opportunities 
     for corporately managed suppliers
•    Participate in contractual agreements, while overseeing the concept, design and governance of all corporate supplier Ways of Working 
•    Drive coordination and collaboration on AS supplier initiatives with the Regional Commercial Operations and Commercial Strategy functions
•    Manage new supplier and product strategy and acceptance process

Supplier Insights
•    Lead, train and develop talent within a highly performing analytical team to support the Supplier Management business units
•    Drive performance based culture through development of analytics, tools and technology leading to increased transparency, accountability and 
     best practices
•    Set reporting standards across a cross section of suppliers and lead regular supplier reporting for Supplier Management teams.
•    Oversee the team’s insights on performance trends, risks and opportunities to facilitate supplier priority setting and management
•    SME for the design and implementation of all centralized analytical for supplier programs.
•    Drive consistent process improvements across Regions and States and manage team through adoption of best practices
•    Other job-related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications
•    Experience managing diverse teams and developing talent.
•    Strong track record of collaboration and leading cross-functional project teams
•    Ability to collaborate closely with Southern Glazer’s digital team and successfully leverage SGWS’ enhanced sales tools including SG Proof
•    National Supplier management experience in the wine & spirits industry
•    MBA in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•    15+ years of experience within the consumer products sector

Preferred Qualifications
•    Digital knowledge including a strong understanding of SG Proof capabilities
•    Trade Development and Trade Marketing experience
•    Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration
•    Ability to develop, motivate and influence teams while driving changes within a transformational organization
•    Proven track record of managing teams and developing high-performing talent 
•    Strong negotiating skills and RFP management experience
•    Strategic and analytical mindset
•    Prioritization and decision-making skills
•    Relationship/asset management
•    Category management experience
•    Pricing strategy
•    Working knowledge of regulations in major states
•    Working knowledge of market dynamics for wine & spirits
•    Working knowledge of chain dynamics for wine & spirits
•    Teamwork / cross-functional collaboration
•    Communication and influencing skills

Physical Demands
•    Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer 
     (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
•    Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to the rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
•    Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime and weekends
•    May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, o
