Job Description

The Finance & Administration Specialist is responsible  for providing functional support to the administration, finance, payroll, customer service, and business analysis functions within a designated division.  This position will conduct daily, weekly, and monthly SAP-related transactions, prepare payroll data for submission to the Shared Services Payroll Department (SSD),  conduct reporting, and training.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support efficient and effective processes associated with administration, payroll, and customer service in a plant environment
  • Weekly review of Kronos information for verification and adjustment of hours worked, process manual salary adjustments, such as vacation, PTO, etc., transmit payroll to SSD in an accurate and timely manner, and maintain and support various bonus and salary programs
  • Audit weekly payroll to ensure that employees are paid accurately, research discrepancies in pay and/or benefit time, prepare off-cycle check requests and follow-up with SSD on the timely issuance of checks
  • Support the Finance team with efficient and effective associated SAP-related transaction processing in the functional areas of finance, administration, and customer service
  • Schedule, prepare and manage data collection studies to support administrative and customer service process improvements
  • Maintain and update documentation that the Administrative, Financial, and Customer Service teams produce and keep an accurate records of all changes
  • Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly SAP transactions as instructed
  • Provide reports  on an as-needed (ad hoc) basis for meetings and review
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and related payroll and accounts receivable experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP Experience a plus / preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships
  • Knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/kyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
