CPWS Sales Representative On Premise (Berks & Lancaster Counties)

Description
  • The objective of your sales job is to maximize sales of the brands you represent in your territory.
  • As your title is Sales & Marketing Representative your responsibilities involve more than sales alone.
  • Plan all activities to ensure achievement of supplier and company distribution in stores and licensees, display, shelf, inventory, volume objectives within your territory, both on and off premise.
  • Plan an efficient, economical and productive route every day.
  • Analyze sales trends and opportunities for the territory.
  • Analyze all territory accounts and establish shelf, inventory, distribution, display and sales volume objectives for each supplier represented.
  • Plan selling and merchandising objectives for each call.
  • Plan detailed sales presentations for each call, tailored to current supplier programs and the customer needs and objectives.
  • Keep informed of competitive activity.
  • Analyze on an on-going basis, opportunities/threats, and strengths/weaknesses affecting growth of company business.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations which accomplish the maximum number of sales objectives within each account within the territory.
  • Call on all accounts as specified by frequency guidelines.
  • Know your supplier's products and programs--and their benefits compared to competition.
  • Achieve complete product distribution: Sell the Book.'
  • Achieve supplier shelf inventory and display merchandising objectives consistent with PLCB criteria.
  • Obtain programmed merchandising and sales targets based on supplier programs and priorities.
  • Develop positive customer relations.
  • Obtain maximum sales volume.
  • Follow up.
  • Conduct party night and tastings as required, may include night and weekend work.
  • Must maintain on and off premises materials to fulfill job requirements, i.e., briefcase, merchandise kit, laptop computer, etc.
  • Responsible for SLO's and industrial sales through delivery, where necessary.
  • Responsible to redistribute merchandise and secure merchandise quantities to assure sufficient volume to prevent out of stocks.
  • Wine list preparation and staff training to maximize full opportunities of our brands.
  • Improve store and licensee distribution for our brands.
  • Insure national accounts and chains are covered and approved item lists are utilized and accounts are carrying our approved brands.
  • Sell something to someone on every call.
  • Secure the effective presentation of your supplier brands to the consumer on the shelf and with floor displays, effectively maximizing sales to the consumer. Increase store distribution for our codes.;
  • Ensure supplier distribution goals are met in your territory.
  • Communicate regularly and routinely with area merchandisers.
  • Make complete retail calls.
  • Achieve supplier shelf and display standards.
  • Locate and maintain displays effectively.
  • Install and maintain clean and current point-of-sale material within accounts
  • Assigned warehouse space or bins should be maintained and all materials and POS should be utilized in the assigned time frame.
  • Cold boxes should be maintained up to supplier and company standards.
  • Maintain clean, freshly rotated and correctly priced inventories in territory.
  • Presell merchandising programs where applicable and verify merchandiser effectiveness and assist where necessary.
  • During the holidays, help with the store hand sell of products.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate records of the conditions within your accounts and territory and provide reports and information when requested in a prompt manner--meeting deadlines.
  • Follow standard policies, procedures and schedules established by management.
  • Submit prompt reports and keep accurate records.
  • Be aware of competitive activity and report same to office.
  • Always maintain adequate, well-organized inventories of supplies in your car and selling bag to support your selling merchandising activities.
  • Submit to office copies of banquet lists, wine lists, cordial or other beverage lists for all accounts in your territory.
  • Represent company at trade association and consumer meetings to promote product.
  • Call into voice mail at least two times per day minimum.
  • Check e-mail at least two times per day and manage email box capacity.
  • Should obtain all key task objectives.
  • Must maintain and have available for business purposes a clean, safe, neat and registered vehicle.
  • Deliver sales presentations to customers.
  • Analyze and control expenditures of territory to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Maintain proper working condition of computer.
  • Update Topaz ordering system twice daily and follow up on all orders placed through Topaz to ensure delivery and address out of stocks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or one to two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be articulate and able to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must carry auto insurance, $100,000/$300,000 in vehicle liability and $50,000 in property damage be listed for business use.
  • Ability to lift and carry cases of wine and spirits up to 70 lbs, both in the construction of displays and the occasional delivery of product.
