Overview

The Yard Driver executesdelivery and pickup of products between warehouses and truckyards.The role may also assist with loading products and deliveringto local facilities.


Duties and Responsibilities

·Drive trucks to/from truck yard to Warehousenightly.

·Drive Vans, Semi-trailers, Bobtails, Side-LoadTrailers or Cart Routes (semi’s)

·Load or unload aluminum carts on/off cart routetrailers

·Secure and tie canvas tarps over aluminum carts

·Ensure that truck maintenance and safety issuesare reported to Transportation Supervisors

·Assist day/night crew in picking or loading ofproduct when required

·Deliver product or POS as needed

·Assist with loading of dock sale product tocustomer vehicles

·Refuel trucks

·Perform other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

·High School diploma or equivalency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

·Must be 21 years of age

·Valid CDL-A license

Preferred Qualifications

·Ability to maintain current DOT certification

·Ability to perform pre and post DOT trip inspections of vehicles

·Ability to navigate the assigned driving area in an efficient manner

·Customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and have a professional disposition

Physical Demands

·Physical demands with frequent to constant amounts of time include sitting, walking, bending, reaching, standing, stooping, and operating motor vehicle equipment

·May require frequent to constant lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs
