Job Description:
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales teams to develop reporting for a designated set of industry leading suppliers
  • Reporting responsibilities to include, but not limited to, development of Corporate and local program tracking, as well as ad hoc requests
  • Development of targets for suppliers and brands, route to market channels, and Sales teams
  • Provide scheduled reporting updates and top line performance commentary to management
  • Provide support to Sales Management in the monthly projection process
  • Make recommendations to Business Intelligence Management for reporting system enhancements, process improvements, and innovation
  • Team Leadership – Ability to provide training and guidance to peers on business intelligence tools, best practices, and ways of working
  • Provide exceptional customer service to business partners by delivering accurate, timely, and valuable information using business intelligence tools
  • Understand business needs to deliver insightful reporting and analysis
  • Analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to management
  • Partner with IT to influence the design, alignment, and implementation of technical standards to address appropriate business solutions
  • Leads and participates in gathering complex and often unique business requirements by defining the business case and data requirements
  • Own deliverables end to end, including data integrity, analysis, validation, and documentation

Qualifications
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 3+ years’ work experience in a data intensive position
  • Advanced working experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced working experience in Business Objects or similar data mining tools
  • Proficient working experience in Microsoft Studios, SQL queries, and SharePoint/Reporting Services
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Problem solving skills to assess business needs and develop solutions
  • Comfortable in a heavily data driven setting
  • Ability to work on cross functional teams as well as independently
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills at all times including verbal, written, and data visualization skills
  • Must be self-motivated, articulate, and creative
  • Relevant industry knowledge preferred – distribution, wine varietals, spirits categories, etc.
